SOFTBALL CAMP

HIGHER GROUND SOFTBALL, an international leader for
instructional services and products, is conducting a very special HIGHER GROUND SOFTBALL CAMP on June 9-11, 2008 at the Rivershore Sports Park in Hebron,
Kentucky (Cincinnati metro area). An internationally
recognized staff has been secured and sessions will include advanced
and basic topics with lots of terrific information, hands-on activity,
and personal assistance from instructors with tremendous experience at all
levels of the game. Players will improve their skills and learn to use those
skills in the game situations where it really counts. YOU will want to
be sure to participate in this terrific improvement opportunity conducted by
Higher Ground Softball (www.highergroundsoftball.com).
The International
Softball Federation, International Sports Group, the United States Air Force,
and many international federations have used Higher Ground services. Higher
Ground has conducted activities in approximately forty states, plus Argentina,
Austria, Azores, Canada, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Greece,
Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Slovakia,
U.S. Virgin Islands, and Zambia. In addition, Sports Illustrated for
Women recognized Higher Ground as the top softball camp program
in America.

AGES: 8-18
Day camps are conducted each
day from 8:00am-4:00pm, with each day providing basic,
intermediate, and advanced instruction for a specific skill. Instructors
consider skill levels and adjust topics and depth of instruction based on
skills. Players may be divided into separate groups, based on age and/or
skills, for certain sessions. The sessions will be designed to develop players
who can perform better in games, with Reality Based Training.
Please check in
on the first day of attendance by at least 7:30am, so you can start on time.
Remember appropriate equipment…glove, bat, helmet, catching equipment (if
applicable), water or sports drink, and sack lunch (or purchase at
concessions). We adjust sessions for inclement weather, so plan to attend.
STAFF: Bobby Simpson - Founder of Higher Ground; International softball clinician, with experience in Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Scotland, Sweden, and U.S. Virgin Islands; Head Coach of British Women's Fastpitch National Team (2001-2004), Gold Medal winner of 2004 Olympic Test Event; Former assistant coach for Dutch and Greek National Teams; Former pro and college baseball coach; Tiffany Ozbun – Head Coach at Denison University; former assistant coach at University of Louisville and Manchester College; 3-year co-captain and MVP at Manchester College; Donny Amrein - Former Assistant Coach at Wilmington College; has conducted numerous clinics and camps for Higher Ground, as well as assisting with clinics for Olympian Crystl Bustos, Chinese National Team Coach Michael Bastain, and Ken Griffey International Softball; Kristen Shirk - Evansville University (Indiana); Former member of Higher Ground International Player Advisory Board.
FEES: Higher Ground Day Camps
allow you to pay for just the days that you select. Discounts are available for
attending multiple days. The advance fees for pre-registration are: $60.00 for
one day, $110 for two days, and $150.00 for three days. Walk-up registration is
an additional $10.00. You may register with Higher Ground or through Rivershore
Sports Park.
